Details

This lab activity engages students in problem solving, a creative act, and not “problem doing,” the usual method encountered by students which has predetermined results. Students test two unknown and seven known chemical solutions with bromthymol blue solution. They then use their results to make conclusions about what bromthymol blue detects and what might be in two unknown solutions.
