If you’re considering buying a compound microscope it is crucial you look closely at fine details.
These include things like microscope type, eyepiece type and, perhaps the most important factor in purchasing a compound microscope: who will be using it. Age, grade, and skill level will help determine which microscope is best for your Michigan, New York or California laboratory setting. We serve any lab anywhere in the continental US. From New York in the east to California in the west and from Michigan in the north to Texas in the south.
First of all, consider what you will be looking at with your microscope. If you are examining larger three dimensional objects where you simply want to enhance detail, then a stereo microscope is appropriate. However, if you want to see close detail or something that can’t be seen with the naked eye (like cells, or bacteria) then a compound microscope is best.
Next, think about how your lab students or workers, no matter where they are in the country, are most likely to physically use the microscope. A monocular microscope has one eyepiece and is generally considered the easiest to use. It is the original microscope design and is often the first type of microscope Michigan students, California students, or New York students will encounter.
Binocular microscopes have two eyepieces. This can make the viewing experience more comfortable for some users. The ability to focus is greater on a binocular microscope and they provide a broader field of view and greater resolution power than a monocular microscope.
Trinocular microscopes are similar to binocular microscopes in that they have two eyepieces, but they have an additional third port to attach a camera enabling you to take pictures of specimens or record video of a process.
Microscopes have existed for centuries, but Parco supplies some of the most modern and advanced microscopes in Michigan, New York, California or anywhere in the United States. We can help advise you on which microscope is best for your needs. Contact us and we’ll walk you through your best options.
