The middle turbinate is detachable, exposing the partially dissected unciate, infundibulum, and ethmoid bulla. The bulla has been perforated to demonstrate the endoscopic pathway to the ethmoid cells, and for patient education, the physician can quickly demonstrate the surgical procedure, thus alleviating preoperative patient anxiety.
